[kdepim-users] Configuring Kmail 4.7 -- Second try

I have configured the POP server, and the mailer is able to retrieve
mail. I have not been able to do the same for the SMTP server (by
copying the configuration details from the mailer in oS v11.4); an
attempt to send a message fails, and produces this error message :
"Failed to transport message. Message sending failed since the following
recipients were rejected by the server: stan.goodman at hashkedim.com (The
server responded: "sorry, your envelope sender domain must exist
(#5.7.1)") t at hashkedim.com (The server responded: "sorry, your envelope
sender domain must exist (#5.7.1)")
I do not understand the latter part of the error message, I assume that
"envelope sender domain" means the domain of the SMTP server, which is
the same as that for the message I am sending to the list now, and that
is indeed what is written in the configuration dialog. so it exists. And
indeed Kmail was able to find the server with that domain; what is the
reason for rejection?
I do not know what the error message means by "t at hashkedim.com"; that
string, with its single-letter username does not appear anywhere in the
configuration dialog.
I hope someone can help me interpret what is causing the failure, so
that I can start using the newly installed v12.1, because I am very
badly stuck.
