Disclaimer: as far as I know no features were removed in KMail2 compared to 
KMail1. Yes, there are regressions, but features were not removed 
deliberately.

It works just as in KMail1. Settings->Configure Kmail, create as many 
Identities as you want. In the composer make sure to check View->Identity 
and select the identity you want. It is even possible (just like with 
KMail1) to assign a specific identity to an account, or to a folder.
