You certainly know that openSUSE 11.3-M3 is bleeding edge (or technical
preview or alpha or beta or whatever you want to call it). If something
doesn't work with this version of openSUSE then please tell openSUSE
about it so that they can fix it.
If you want a stable version then use openSUSE 11.2. I'm using openSUSE
11.2 with KDE SC 4.4 from the Factory repository. It works quite well
for me after I have disabled the Strigi file indexer.
