What addressbooks do you have set up?  It might help to know how you set them 
up, too.  It's possible, of course, that Fedora have got something right that 
the others haven't, but I think it's more likely that we are overlooking 
something.

This afternoon I plan to write up on UserBase the quite lengthy information I 
got from the kontact developers.  Hopefully that's going to help quite a few 
people identify and correct problems.  It will be linked from both the Akonadi 
and the KAddressBook pages.
