[kdepim-users] Kontact Tip of the Day causing problems

Sounds as if some modal dialog box popped up somewhere in the 
background, watiting for input - at least I've seen identical symptoms 
in this case with other applications.

Did you try to switch through all open windows using Alt-Tab do check if 
something is hiding?
