Howdy,

What I do is backup [1] my Home directory nightly. I have two
computers: desktop and laptop (for business travel). When it's time
to unhitch the old wagon and take the laptop, I `rsync' [2] from my
desktop to my laptop. Upon my return, I do the reverse.

The above allows me to create a quick running setup.

Cheers,

[1] - rsync-incr - see [ http://colas.nahaboo.net/Software/RsyncIncr ]
[2] - `rsync --progress --quiet --archive --delete $HOME/ $1:

where $1 is the target host.

I also use the `--exclude-from' option because there are some
local files which are specific to each host.
