As I wrote, both the body and the headers are missing (or inaccessible), 
so I would not be able to answer your question. But the specific 
correspondent, unusually for Windows users, has never sent me a message 
containing HTML formatting. This one too was likely plain-text only.

Kmail is v1.9.10. The sender is in a white list; I receive his messages 
routinely, and there has never been a problem with them. In any case, 
this message made it to the inbox, so it passed any test it encountered. 
I do not have any filters that modify message bodies or headers.
