On monday I reported the bug in kaddressbook we talked about:
<http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=159795>
Today I received a new wave of kde-files via smart update (all kde
packages, incl. kdepim, kdelibs and kdebase), I was excited whether
the code in the discussed aspect was altered, but it was not.
I’m not familiar with the workflow of the developers and don’t want
to be to critical. Maybe somebody on the list has an insight. Is it
normal, that there is absolutely no response by the programmer
(bugs 159499 and 159795)? I understand, that all the people around
this front are working on the edge, but ... kaddressbook by imap in
other languages than English is not functional.
I started my participation in this list with the question what to do
to draw the attention to the problem I talk about -- knowing that
it is reported since January. It ended up in writing a new bug
report -- with no response until now.
An anecdote: I signed up the kde-bugs list by my name which ends
with a sharp-s. Guess what the automatic reply by the list did when
it send me the information: It left out the sharp-s and in Kmail
this appears as two solid rectangles. Oh my ...
All the best & sorry for the expression of my frustration,
Roland
