[kdepim-users] kmail processes

I'm not sure what you mean. As far as I can see there's only one 
klauncher process. If you meant 'kdeinit' then there's also only one 
such process. All the other processes were just started through 
kdeinit. (This is a little trick that improves the startup time of KDE 
applications.)

It is a bit weird that there are 9 kio_pop3 processes running although 
you only have 5 pop accounts but that's not really alarming. If the 
processes are unused then they will automatically exit after some time.

I don't see anything unusual in the list of processes. In particular, I 
don't think that any of those processes was responsible for the lock-up 
of your session.
