I have Sempron 2200 + 756 MB of RAM. All folders are local mbox'es.

I've made quick test and returned to "old" KMail 1.9.9 (under KDE4): opening
of folders lasts from 0 to 9 secs (of course the biggest 60000) and display of
messages only 1 second!

And not only that. Scrolling in 1.10 is dead slow. Also other interface
elements are slower than in other KDE4 apps.

I recompiled KDE4 with release option (scrapping whole debug info) and it
greatly helped with RAM and cut 2-3 secs from message displaying time (in
20000 folders) but it is still too long. I am returning to 1.9.9. Pity about
KOrganizer part but didn't see anything special in new KMail.

But I'd like really to solve that. Whats happening?

m.
