Hi Robert! =:)
I am having an odd problem when trying to restore my Palm V.

Hmmm. To be perfectly honest, I have never tried using KPIlot's restore
feature. I know this is a cheap answer, but I would recommend using
pilot-xfer -i <list of prc/pdb's> instead of KPilot's restore.
Now, that being said... First, thank you very much for a very clear,
information-containing post! =:) Very nicely done! =:)

I'd say you've found a bug. =:( There's only 2 things I can think of that
might be causing this...
1. It might be the space in the directory name that's causing
something to go wonky. Unfortunately, that's not an easy one to try to test.
2. It might be that the file exists, but isn't a valid palm resource.
To test this, can you do "pilot-file --dump <filename>" on one of the
failed-to-restore files? And just to be clear... do _any_ of your palm
backup files get restored? Or none of them do?
