I think that if you are talking about a gmail imap account you will not be
able to do that from kmail. One of the things I particularly dislike about
gmail is the inability to mass-mark a folder like that, even from their own
interface. The other dislike is the inability to set an expiry date after
which messages are deleted.
Sorry it's not more helpful, but it's a gmail lack, not a kmail one.
