Just for the sake of completeness, before anyone does them again (and thus
duplicate)

some of the issues I mentioned and the comment before mentioned already are
separate bug reports, namely

I do agree that KDEPim, including Merkuro as the bugs are mostly in akonadi and
not a frontend, is in a not usable state.
