I still experience the same issue on KDE 4.10.3: when trying to sign a file
through Kleopatra, it fails with a "ERR 50331706 No data <GpgSM>" error in the
log file. Note that signing files via the command line (gpgsm --sign) works.

Since this report of so old, I wonder whether it is resolved for the OP. Are
there any updates on this?
