It works fine.
it will search in https://live.mozillamessaging.com/autoconfig/v1.1/<provider
name>
or as thunderbird in http://autoconfig.<provider name>/mail/config-v1.1.xml

Perhaps your provider is not defined here. Don't know.
Perhaps your email is not standard we use <provider name> to search it.

ok google is stupid it redirect
"http://gmail.com/.well-known/autoconfig/mail/config-v1.1.xml" which define to
seach default config to own page... 
Will fix it by search first in mozilla and after local info
