Importing mails from Thunderbird to KMail does work ... to some extend.

Having a Local Account folder declared as import destination for the
Thunderbird Import function does import all Thunderbird emails! Hurray!

But these emails are NOT stored within ~/.local/share/local-mail but only in
the Akondadi DB (~/.local/share/akonadi).

Is this intended? Why can't I have my imported emails there. Isn't it true that
~/.local/share/local-mail should hold all my Local Account mails in a maildir
structure?

Well, this is not the case then.

Reproducible: Always



Expected Results:  
Imported mails are mails like any other and should therefore reside in the
Local Account place (~/.local/share/local-mail) like any other.
