- What I was doing when the application crashed:
nothing: kmail started to use all the memory of the computer. I could not read
emails nor do anything else. 

- Unusual behavior I noticed:

kmail started to use all the memory of the computer, I could do nothing else,
then it crashed.

The crash can be reproduced some of the time.
