I have seen similar behavior in the desktop client and have the impression that
on the mobile device this behavior sometimes occurs after a certain amount of
time. I cannot find a reproduceable setting or a pattern, though.

Also, sync feedback will make this much more easy to observe (reported as
another, high prioritized issue).
