If I use the prefered method (New -> Message -> Insert File) then the email is
send out with a charset where all white spaces are converted into =20
regardless of the settings under "Options" -> "Set Encoding".

OTOH I cannot copy and paste a git patch from the console window b/c that would
convert tabs into white spaces ....

Expected Results:  
KMail should be able to send out emails wthich the LKML accept to apply to the
