Not true. Unless there will be a developer who will actually say something
like: "OK, I will do it for 200USD" a bounty will never work.

There are several types of OpenSource developers and with the exception
freelancers none of them will or can accept money for fixing a bug/implementing
a feature.

Of course they don't but once you have a product (OpenSource or not) there are
certain quality levels that are expected. The problem with OpenSource is that
OpenSource developers will rather spend 48 hour writing excuses why they can't
implement feature ABC then implement it in 2 hours.

ROFL, good joke :-D Probably never tried that did you?

Btw. I'm an OpenSource developer, success rate of patches is pretty much zero
once they actually do change something. I don't care because I have no problem
with maintaining a fork.
