That may be an option -and very reasonable- for programmers, but for users who
are economists, history students, musicians; in short: for all those who have a
non-computer related job or studies it's inviable; so, unless KDE wants to be a
computer geeks DE instead an universal one, I think there's some truth to be
taken into account in those comments that say Twitter plasmoids (or similar
"cute" apps) should be secondary.
