Allright, of course a volunteer developer is free to choose what he wants to work on. But developers not willing to implement features their users need are sure to lose these users.

I have to agree, this bug voting is useless, at least for kmail. For sure there has work been done on kmail, just that it was done on other things than bugs or features voted for here. So maybe this HTML support is to big a task for the manpower available. But then the first priority should be trying to find more developers.
