           Summary: IMAP download upload loop
           Product: kmail
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: SuSE RPMs
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: crash
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs kde org
        ReportedBy: walterdresen btinternet com

Version: 3.5.7.enterprise.0.20070904.708012-5.3 (using KDE KDE 3.5.7)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
OS: Linux

I created a filter on an imap account to move mail into a subfolder of the inbox.
If i send a mail meeting this criteria - kmail downloads and UPLOADS it forever.

It leaves the message in the inbox and copies several copies into the subfolder.
I cancelled it after it copied the same 2 meg email 5 times into the subfolder.
Canceling the progress bars manually even crashes kmail.

This but is severe since it can cause loss of data! Lets say you have an inbox quota.
Once kmail fills it up with duplicate emails you loose all your following mails!!!
It should not be in the stable branch of kde.

The upload download loop is pestering kmail apparently for quite some time now (years)

BTW
Upload - from where? There does not seem to be a offline file.
If i send myself an email with a 2 meg attachment - kmail does download it apparently.
But if I save the attachment it is downloading it again from the server. So whats the point?
