Thanks! I get very happy to hear that!

>Is there a specific part of Kdenlive that you are interested to work on?

My kdenlive projects are very simple and I have almost zero experience with video editing. For that reason, I guess that I cannot be able to choose some specific part to work on Kdenlive. So, I'm totally available to get any task, even if it is out of my comfort zone.

>As a start I would recommand working on a small bug or feature that does not require deep knowledge of Kdenlive's code. I am
>currently on vacation until the 16th of june so cannot help much until I come back. One thing that comes to my mind is for example the
>Project settings dialog that has a tab listing the used files in the project. This has to be rewritten to work with the new model/view
>structure of the project bon. Also linked to this the Archive feature that needs a rewrite.

I passed these days thinking about it and I would like to follow the advice of two friends mine. One of them, Lamarque Souza, KDE-Plasma developer and other KDE softwares. He recommended to start with Junior Jobs and Wish Reports that I could find here<https://www.kde.org/applications/multimedia/kdenlive/development> and raise the level after complete the easiest tasks. And the other friend mine, Farid, sent to me this discussion about Monitor Overlay Safe Zone<https://phabricator.kde.org/T5434> feature in preview Window and that it's a good task to me now.

I never worked with QML before and I think that the task that farid sent to me is a good starting point.

>But maybe there are smaller tasks to begin. If noone steps up, I can provide more details after the 16th.

While I'm working with Monitor Overlay Safe Zone task, you all, Farid and you, could find future tasks for me work on after that. What you think about it?

>Anyways welcome and hope to exchange more in the next weeks.
>Jean-Baptiste

Thanks for the attention!
