[kdenlive] Serious critical bug in ppa:kdenlive/kdenlive-master -- caused complete data loss

I installed a fresh copy of Ubuntu GNOME 16.04, updated it, added the
ppa and installed kdenlive. After the set-up wizard, my entire home
directory literally got wiped out, back to default. All of my system
settings were defaulted, dash favorites, and all personal documents
were gone. Truly thankful I had a backup of all my files.

Has anyone encountered this? Can it be replicated by anyone else? I'd
confirmed this issue on two different PC's with fresh installs of
Ubuntu GNOME. Never had an issue like this before.##SELECTION_END##
