Hi Schorse,

If you are on Ubuntu, I recommand that you use our PPA to get the latest 
Kdenlive version:

Version 16.04.1 is here:

https://launchpad.net/~kdenlive/+archive/ubuntu/kdenlive-stable

and version 16.04.2 with latest git fixes is here:
https://launchpad.net/~kdenlive/+archive/ubuntu/kdenlive-testing
