Hello Joshua,
Mac/Win development was briefly discussed at the December IRC Cafe. Nobody
in the team is working on it and will be available to do so, but one
developer offered to take care of merging patches. Search (Ctrl+F) "OS X"
on https://notes.kde.org/public/kdenlive-cafe01 to see what was said.
I am available for testing on both OS X 10.10 and Windows 10.
Shotcut (http://www.shotcut.org ) has both .exe (setup, unfortunately no
simple .zip) and .app releases and also uses Qt5. It is probably the best
reference for porting Kdenlive.
Cheers,
Iwan
