Guys,
Seeing the success of the fundraising campaing you did and some of the
comments on the blog: https://kdenlive.org/users/ttill/kdenlive-fundraising-campaign
Two thoughts:
This page should link to a place where people can donate:
https://kdenlive.org/contribution-manual
You could link to https://www.kde.org/community/donations/index.php
You could point out that you can add a comment to donations "for Kdenlive".
Not that the money would go to kdenlive specifically, and you can't promise
that - just say that people can add that comment. It will show how much
support Kdenlive gets and while all KDE money is for all KDE projects, this
can and probably should have an impact on sponsorship decisions. Plus, it
makes you feel good ;-)
You could even ask KDE e.V. If they could make sure that people can add
comments like that to donations and if they can add that to that page. But I
think it's already possible.
Second - do more fundraisers. Use it for Randa, use it for other things like
a 'custom' summer of code or something. It isn't just to get money - people
LIKE to support a project, it makes them more dedicated fans. So you help
them by letting them help you ;-)
Cheers,
Jos
