Hey,
at the current state of the refactored code it makes no sense to try to
get movit working. Some more fundamental features are not implemented yet.

Well, basically the aim is to make the code more readable, scalable, ...
You might want to search the mailing archive for the related threads at
the time (mainly spring/summer 2012) or have a look at the blog posts.

If you really want to get into the code at this state the relevant
directories are src/core and src/plugins. The rest is old code.
Start digging at src/core/core.{h,cpp}. Most functions are documented.
