all the tests so far has proven it to be FAST. of course, if you submit 
different data, we may discuss on that. there was the idea to make it 
an option, which is not that bad actually

hash of the first 1 (or 10? i don't remember) megabyte plus last 1 
(10) megabyte and file size are stored. that doesn't cover any 
possibility, but i hope it manages at least 98% of them
