There are plenty of cool ideas we could work on! :-) 

From the top of my head:
- rewrite the file loading to be more robust across kdenlive version changes, 
using xsd validation and other rules.
- write a synfig based title/animation clip creator/plugin

There are many more on the issue tracker.

But, we need some project people (from Kdenlive) to take on a responsibility 
for handling the relations to google/the students/etc.

So, we really need backing from you, Jean-Michel, and JB, and probably Dan 
too.
