yes, that will look bad. FLV is going to look bad no matter what
bitrate you choose, in my opinion. Have you tried MPEG-2, MPEG-4 or
H.264 generic options with a sufficiently high bitrate? If those do
not work, then your build of MLT is probably bad.

I am not sure what your "this" and "it" is. Eventually, there will be
an easier way to build and use custom project setting from a sample
clip in the Project Tree. Eventually, we will update the DV export
profiles to indicate their fixed resolution to make that more obvious.
