Yes, it's ok for me, but there are some thing to know:
* Currently Kdenlive uses a no longer maintained library (KDockWidget)
for its user interface (It mostly manages the placement of the different
widgets and focusing). When Kdenlive will switch to KDE4/QT4, we will
use another library to manage the widgets, which will hopefully give us
more possibilities. So until we switch to QT4, I will not make important
changes to the way widgets are arranged since we will need to rewrite it
for KDE 4.
But for sure, as we will have to rewrite most of the UI part when
switching to KDE4, it would be nice to start with a cool idea of what we
want it to look like.
* On the other hand, logo, icons and cursors for sure can be improved as
soon as we have some cool stuff.
* I am currently too busy to take care of that redesign contest, so if
someone volunteers to set it up, cool!
* Not directly related, but I had a contact with someone from
kde-files.org, and they will soon setup a new category for Kdenlive,
which means users will be able to upload their transition luma files to
www.kde-files.org, and I will add an easy to use "Download new luma
file" in Kdenlive, so it will be really easy to share luma (wipe)
transitions. Of course, I hope that we can expand it later, so that it
should be possible to share effects, transitions & more!
I am really glad to see more people using and helping to debug & improve
Kdenlive!
regards
