[Kdenlive-devel] (New) transitions: how ? FAQ instruction does not seem to work

Hi all,

To start with: Thanks to all who made this program.

I'm using the 0.4 package from www.mediafire.com in Kubuntu 6.10 (Edgy). 
(Thanks for creating the package.)

Now my problems:
1.  From the four built-in transitions (crossfade, push, pip and wipe) 
only crossfade seems to work.

2.    I copied a set of transitions in ~/.kde/share/apps/kdenlive/pgm/  
(burst.pgm, checkerboard.pgm, clock.pgm, horizontal_barn_doors.pgm, 
horizontal_blinds.pgm, left_to_right.pgm, right_to_left.pgm and 
symmetric_clock.pgm) according to the FAQ in the wiki. However, they do 
not show up in kdenlive.
Then I decided to copy them in /usr/share/apps/kdenlive/pgm. That didn't 
work either.
I then tried to " locate -i"  the built-in transitions (crossfade, push, 
pip and wipe), thinking that I could copy "my"  transitions to that 
location. However, I could not find those built-in transitions (maybe 
because they are indeed "built-in"?).
Please note: I made the directories x-cutable to all and the files 
readable to all (security at this moment less important).
Also: When the transitions work the way they should, I'm very willing to 
share them, off course.


Anyone any clue for both 1 and 2?
