[Kdenlive-devel] Kdenlive 0.4 coming soon

Hello everyone.

There has been a lot of progress since Kdenlive 0.3, and I think Kdenlive is 
almost ready for a 0.4 version.

The latest changes mostly concentrate on the timeline, making it nicer, using 
less space. Effect keyframes are easier to move, you can put markers on clips 
with comments which pop up as tooltips when you pass over them. I also added 
timeline guides, which are like magnetic guides in a layout program and 
should be very useful to navigate through your project or to export chapters 
of a movie. I also fixed the undo/redo commands for transitions.

Audio thumbnails and slowmotion don't work for now because they require some 
changes in MLT. I have sent the relevant patches to the MLT developers, and 
am currently waiting for their feedback.

So in the meantime, if any of you have some time to try Kdenlive, send me your 
comments/bug reports. I don't plan to introduce new features, but if you have 
idease of small improvements or notice bugs, please send them so that 0.4 get 
better.
