It always happens.  I  haven't  tried to remove the kdenliverc file.  I'll
try that tonight.  How is this file created?  I have no idea on how kde apps
get there configuration settings.  Is there any documentation available?


Another test to do is to try playing a movie with MLT's command line player:

I compiled  both out of cvs or svn.  using the instructions given in your
link.
