kdenlive still crashing.
I just added one video file to the timeline, opened the export dialog, entered
a filename with .mpeg extension, choosed mpeg as the export format and hit
the export button and boooommmm...
running with gdb gives this error messages:

btw - selecting multiple files in the "add clips" dialog works no longer ;(

It's also when just adding one video file to the timeline, saving this new
project and loading the saved project again or another project. The result is
a white workspace monitor ....
btw - i did a ....... aahhh, wait ... will try to re-install mlt .... no,
don't fix the problem ...

ok, I hope you will find a solution.

fine.

ok, but I'm not sure if having this in a separate thread was a good
description from me ... could it be possible to have the render dialog in a
non-modal window as well as the transition dialog, to be able to keep on
working on another project during export?
and ... finally apropos "basic features" and "create fade in/out by just
dragging the upper corners" ?
Ok, this works already by adding two transition, on at the beginning and one
at the end, but might be faster to apply by just dragging the upper corners,
since sometimes I have to adjust the direction of the transition ...
btw - have found a bug here:
add long a clip to the timeline, add a short one above, create a transition at
the beginning of the upper clip, move the timeline slider to the end of the
upper clip and create a transition, change the direction of the second
transition and delete the second transition. At this point kdenlive seems to
not take notice of this and keep the transition dialog active with the
"invert direction" option selected. Now add the second transition again and
kdenlive is crashing when trying change the direction again.
