I look forward to your feature requests and bug reports ;-)

I don't know of any precompiled deb packages; searching the web it looks like
somebody might have been considering making one, but that's the last I have
heard of it.

I don't use debian personally, but if, once you have got Kdenlive/piave
compiling you want to have a go at putting together some packages then by all
means go for it and I'll upload them to sourceforge to save everybody else
some pain :-)

I got an email about compiling on debian recently, which I still have to
upload onto the web on the FAQ page - see below.

Hi.

I noticed that a common issue in the FAQ is compilation under Debian. In
debian, Qt are installed in /usr/share/qt3, and configure script usually
doesn't notice that.

The solution is very easy. Just use "./configure
--with-qt-dir=/usr/share/qt3", or better, add "export QTDIR=/usr/share/qt3"
to your ~/.bashrc.

I think that should do the trick :-).

BTW, I recently acquired a video camera, and today, when I looked at
kde-announce, I received a great present ;-). A KDE application for video
editing was something I was waiting to hear.

Thanks for your work!

Best regards,
