Yes, I know. All of them have some sense and the ultimate goal is to support
all of them. Right now I just use the simplest of the three which is raw DV
( *.dv ).

I think that is something the 'scheduler' application which will be a layer
between kdenlive and piave is supposed to do. But probably Jason can say more
to that.
