KDE (or X?) clipboard goes stupid

For "my" xsel (xsel 0.04 23072002) the syntax was:

for buf in PRIMARY SECONDARY CLIPBOARD; do printf "\n[${buf}]\n"; xsel -p -s ${buf} ; done; printf "\n"
