Moin,
within a kde 4.9.5, ubuntu ppa source, this issue comes up to me.

Within the dir/file plasmoid, which I am using for my Desktop, icons of
customized programs are not shown, instead there is only the standard
gear icon shown.

i.E. This Applicaion Eclipse.desktop file does not show an Icon.

If this Icon/Programmstarter is drawn to the background, the icon is shown.

If I copy the Eclipse.desktop file to my notebook, it ist correctly
shown. @same KDE Version.

The difference between my Work PC and my Notebook is, that the notebook
has only local filessytems. (/home on /dev/sda5, btrfs).

But the workstation PC has mounted the /home filesystem from the server,
like server:/home.

So, I think there may be a bug, which disables correct icon display, if
$HOME is mounted via NFS.

Anybody out there, who may have the same effect seen?
Idea, how to fix it?

Jojo
