Suspend from KDM

Hi all

I've been looking for information about enabling an option to suspend or
hibernate the computer from KDM but I don't know if this is a
configuration issue or if it is not supported in KDM.

It seems it is not supported because bug #33839 is still open since
2001. I'm very interested in getting this working and I can help if
there is not a fundamental problem that makes this impossible. If it is
not supported maybe I can ask in the -devel list but I want to be sure
before.
