OpenGL window effect mislabeling

 today's update
included KWIN, and i was hoping this might solve the problem. unfortunately that
didn't happen.

i'd like to know if anybody else has problems with desktop
effects settings, or if i'm the only one...

(don't really care about desktop
effects one way or the other, but if this is a common experience, developers
should probably do something about it. if it's only me, i messed up things
somewhere, possible with GNOME in parallel, or whatever
