KDE 4.4 RC1 bad composite performance

I can confirm that in the short time I was using the 4.4 RC1 I
disabled the Wobbly Windows effect as it was jerky and frame skipping.
ATI x1400 Mobile Radeon card, FOSS drivers, Kubuntu 9.10.
