white shadow

When rising a konsole or okular window to foreground, often a white 
shadow, covering the window content, is shown on the left side. 
Here enclosed is a picture. 
The same also happens at each new page, when browsing a pdf document 
with okular. 
I am using kde 4.4.4 opensuse 11.3

Any ideas to fix that annoying behaviour?
