Kaddressbook 'Categories' field was gone

As you've discovered, the data is not gone, but you can't at present get to 
it.  Categories, as such, will go.  Tags will replace them.  I believe there 
will be a migrator to bring in your existing categories into tags, but it's 
not available yet.  As a temporary fix, for your new contact, put the category 
tag into Notes, on the Business page.  At least it will be searchable then.
