Howto put a "submenu" on the Panel in KDE4

Try approaching the author, ivan.cukic+kde at gmail.com , give him the URL of the 
userbase article you followed and show him your panel.png.  He's a nice guy, 
very helpful, so he will probably be able to help you fix it.  If you do get 
it sorted, please put the solution here so that others see it, and I'll add it 
into userbase (unless you want to do that yourself, of course :-) )
