Problem with middle mouse button in KDE

Hello,

I have a problem with the following KDE (Kubuntu 9.04 32bit):

Qt: 4.5.0
KDE: 4.2.2 (KDE 4.2.2)
KDE Daemon: $Id: kded.cpp 944896 2009-03-26 13:00:10Z dfaure $

It concerns the middle mouse button: It does not seem to be recognized
correctly. What I try is to make my desktop cube work with
<STRG>+<ALT>+<MiddleMouse>, but this does not work. (And btw, <LeftMouse>
instead of the middle button is not recognzed, too) When I try to set this
shortcut in the system settings, it recognized STRG and ALT keys, but not the
middle mouse button at all - when I press it, the other 2 keys are deleted in
the key recovery and I have to start all over.

The system itself seems to recognize the button normally, because xev says the
following when I use the middle mouse button:

ButtonPress event, serial 34, synthetic NO, window 0x3000001,
    root 0x1a7, subw 0x0, time 2378339, (137,83), root:(142,641),
    state 0x0, button 2, same_screen YES

ButtonRelease event, serial 34, synthetic NO, window 0x3000001,
    root 0x1a7, subw 0x0, time 2379003, (137,83), root:(142,641),
    state 0x200, button 2, same_screen YES

"$ lsusb" info about the mouse I am using:

Bus 003 Device 005: ID 046d:c047 Logitech, Inc. Laser Mouse

What is wrong here? If more info is needed, tell me what exactly - I will
provide it.

Greets,
Dennis
