Disabling Login/Startup sound

Anyone know how to disable the login sound after the spash screen is 
displayed?  I tried disabling it via control center (system notifications-> 
kdesystem notifications) and tried disabling all sounds but KDE-Sys-Log-In-
Long.ogg persists...ahh..

I'd also like to disable the splash screen as well but control center (under 
appearance and themes/spash screen) doesn't disable that either.
