Before this I had a Deskjet 990Cxi with duplexer.  I ran that for 3-4 years 
and never had a moment's problem - apart from a very few paper-jams.

Like most non-specialist printers, A4 is the largest it can handle, but you 
could certainly duplex on Letter if you don't use A4.
